Anvar Anvarov finishes fourth in Budapest after TravelSport camp in Belek
Uzbekistan long jumper Anvar Anvarov followed his training camp at Gloria Sports Arena with a 7.94 m fourth-place performance at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship.
Anvar Anvarov completed a TravelSport training camp in Belek from 22 August to 10 September 2026 before travelling directly to the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest. Representing Uzbekistan in the men’s long jump, he finished fourth with a best mark of 7.94 metres.
Fourth place on the international stage
Anvar recorded 7.94 m with a +1.4 m/s wind in the men’s long jump at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship. The result placed him fourth against a high-level international field in Budapest.
It was a strong performance for Uzbekistan at one of the major competitions of the 2026 athletics season and a positive conclusion to Anvar’s latest preparation block.
Preparation at Gloria Sports Arena
From 22 August until 10 September, Anvar trained at Gloria Sports Arena in Belek during a camp organised with TravelSport. The facility provided the athletics environment needed for his final preparation before Budapest.
The camp period allowed the training plan to remain focused on technical work, physical preparation and the daily routine leading into competition.
From Belek directly to Budapest
After completing the camp on 10 September, Anvar travelled directly to the championship. Moving from the training base into the competition environment gave him a clear transition from preparation to performance.
His fourth-place finish should be recognised as the athlete’s own competitive achievement. The camp formed part of the preparation process, while the result reflects Anvar’s work, coaching and performance on the day.
